Dr. Ligresti has been proudly providing Dermatological care to patients in New York and New Jersey for over 20 years. After graduating from Syracuse University with a BS in Microbiology, Dr. Ligresti obtained his Medical Degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Ligresti completed his Internship at the State College of Pennsylvania in Internal Medicine and moved onto Ohio State University for his Residency in Dermatology.
Following his Residency, Dr. Ligresti opened Ligresti Dermatology Associates while he also returned to Mount Sinai to became a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology for over 10 years. For the next 5 years, he became the Dermatology Clinic Chief and The Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology for Mount Sinai School of Medicine. His warm mannerism and soft-spoken style made him a favorite for over 10 years in the Pediatric Dermatology Clinic. During this tenure, Dr. Ligresti was awarded Department of Dermatology's Award for Exceptional Service in Patient Care for 8 consecutive years.
Dr. Ligresti is a Fellow of the Americal Academy of Dermatology and is an active member of the Medical Society of New Jersey. He is proud of his being awarded one of America's Top Physicians for 10 consecutive years as well as listed in New Jersey Magazines "Top NJ Doctors". He is on staff at Clara Maas Hospital in Belleville, NJ and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
Steven Sekiya, D.O.

Dr. Sekiya joined Ligresti Dermatology in 2003 where he practices Medical, Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Sekiya graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000 and completed his Residency in Medicine through The University of Medicine and Dentistry at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in 2003. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has specialized in Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology for the past 10 years. In addition to his extensive Medical Training, Dr. Sekiya has received specialized training in Cosmetic Medicine through numerous courses in laser, cosmetic fillers and facial aesthetics.

Anita Fox, PA-c
Anita Fox PA-c has been a Licensed Physician Assistant since 2005. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from City College of New York followed by her Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at St Vincent's Medical Center, also in New York City. Ms. Fox has spent her entire career in Dermatology, providing medical, surgical and cosmetic treatments to patients of all ages.
As a mother herself, Anita holds a special interest in Pediatric Dermatology, treating the youngest of patients who require a gentle approach with She also enjoys working with challenging needs of adolescents and teens to overcome acne issues. With the latest information and technology avialable, Anita will work with her patients and their parents to develop a treatment plan that will provide rapid improvement to this emotional condition.
Throughout her career in Dermatlogy, Anita has developed an artistic affinity for Cosmetic Dermatology and has persued additional training in the use of injetable cosmetics and esthetic services. She believes in communicating with her patients about their concerns, educating and reccomending appropriate skin care regimens and non-invasive cosmetic treatments to help them achieve their goals.
About Physician Assistants
Physician Assistants are Licensed by the State of New Jersey following completion of a two-year intensive training program and completion of a National Exam. They are required to are required to achieve 100 hours of continuing medical education (CME) every two years. PA's successfully complete a comprehensive general medical examination every six years, which is administered by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
As with Dermatologists, Physician Assistants are trained to evaluate and treat common skin conditions such as roseacea, acne,dermatitis, warts and psoriasis and can prescribe medications. PA's work as part of the overall team with the Dr. Ligresti and Dr. Sekiya who are available for consultation on complex cases or whenever the diagnosis is in question. PA' s receive surgical training as part of their education and certification and often perform biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions and minor repairs.
